Oscar lay still on the starched white sheets, hard like cardboard. Audrey shuffled in her chair, anxiety furrowing her brow. The last four months of travelling every day, to the nursing home was taking its toll. She gazed at Oscar’s shrunken frame… her heart fluttered, he was her one true love. A life spanning decades and continents. Oscar woke smiling weakly he reached out for Audrey’s tiny hand and squeezed.
