haiku #1
comfort in silence
sharing the ordinary
heart & soul connect
haiku #2
another nameless bar,
watching the door & waiting
with that sinking feeling
haiku #3
pretending to be a tourist with no agenda but to enjoy…
My daughter went to see Picasso’s (is the Picasso necessary) Guernica yesterday in Madrid. She is having a fantastic time.
This morning I was thinking about how you could use your ipod on shuffle to predict the future. The song that plays first is a predictor of how your day is going to be. It’s as valid as astrology. You could slant the predictions in your favour but creating play lists with a select few songs on it.
My play lists have names like…
- feel good
- chillin’
- getting jiggy wit it
- get down
- mellow
- girlz
- running
- new stuff
On the way to work today I listened to my feel good list – and I do!
Peace
Librarians… fingers on the pulse

It is important for librarians to have an awareness of significant cultural events and news and I am going to dedicate this post to two events in recent history.
- Noise – the fantastic Australian movie was name Best Australian Movie by a bunch of Film critics. I have to agree. It was one of the best movies of 2007 and I am so over quirky Aussie comedies. I was thrilled that the critics got this one right. I am a big fan of Brendan Cowell.
- Shock death of Heath Ledger the Australian actor – I can’t really say much about this but I was moved by the news of Ledger’s death. I really made me feel sad. I know people die all the time. Many of them not celebrities but this one touched me. Senseless death!
Life is precious. Peace.
